What we collect

When you enquire or use the calculator and ask us to follow up, we collect your name, business name, contact details, region and segment, anything you write in the message field, and the indicative calculator inputs you chose. If you proceed to a feasibility study, we also collect your power bills and site details, because the model is built from them.

Why we collect it

To respond to your enquiry, model your site, prepare proposals and financing options, and manage installation and monitoring if you proceed. We also keep records that accounting and tax law require us to keep.

How it is stored

Your enquiry, bills and project records are stored with access controls in our own systems, hosted in Sydney. Power bills and documents are held privately and opened only through links that expire.

A few service providers handle information for us, on their own servers, some of them outside New Zealand and Australia: the email service that sends our replies, and the AI service that helps us read power bills, sort enquiries and draft proposals. They handle it only to provide that service to us. We do not sell or rent your information; beyond those providers we share it only with parties needed to deliver your project (for example a lender or installer, with your knowledge) or where the law requires.

Analytics, advertising and cookies

We use Google Analytics, through Google Tag Manager, to see how the site is used: the pages visited, how the calculator and enquiry form are used, where a visit came from, and the type of device and rough location (to the city) it came from. Google sets cookies on this site to do that and processes the data on its own servers, which may be outside New Zealand. It does not give us your name or contact details.

If you arrive from a Google ad, the thank-you page may also record an anonymous conversion so we know the ad worked. You can block these cookies in your browser, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on, and the site works the same.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we have no legal duty to retain it. Use the contact page and we will sort it promptly.
